i only read PuckDaddy's thing on Torres, skimmed it. he was getting way too serious about it, guess he has to play that political game to keep his job, who knows.

Jimmy and the army, I'm not even sure what he does. I was reading some article yesterday about how 13 or 14 american troops were killed in Karzai. Their bus transport vehicle has a huge flaw that the insurgents exploited, something about IEDS on the side of the "bus" causes some serious damage. No idea how the designers wouldn't see that coming. All you gotta do is make the thing like a tank with the underside protected. They go slow enough as it is.

yep, came in early so I can print off this trading book, great
interviews man, people use much different approaches and achieve
results.

one guy working for Sachs or whatever that bank is called, he made
over 800 million in 7 years or so, and he was like "I was vastly

and yeah, people outside of intelligence aren't the brightest. pretty
lucky in this field.

crosby should be back mid november, my gess. all those practices
should get him ready, but ill wait until march or whenever if
necessary, playoffs is all that matters.

I looked up videos of Battlefield 3. Looks like a fun game.... 32 vs 32. But I hear it's all camping. The maps are so huge, too, that it's hard to see anybody. Oooh, you can fly jets. I have a warranty for my NHL disc.

I was gonna buy Batman Arkhum Asylum yesterday for $16 total but it's only like 5-10 hours of gameplay. That Star Wars game didn't take very long, less than 6 hours (didn't time it, beat it in 2 sittings). I can't imagine paying $16 for probably 7 hours, that's over $2 an hour. Sure, I could resell it, but I hate going to the post office. I refused to go when I lived literally less than a block ago, no way I'm going when I live a half mile away now.

Sucks about Halo. I played it for 2 or 3 games yesterday, then stopped. You're not missing anything

I really have no interest in NHL, anymore. After losing those two games in OT to scrubs, it's not worth it.

I lost a 3rd game that day, too, or maybe the night before. The guy had Buffalo, he'd go up the LW side everytime and pass to the RW who was way over in the RW side and score the onetimer EVERY time. No idea how. It didnt' matter what I did to defend, the puck always went through and it was always so wide of a shot that the goalie stood no chance. It was tied 4-4 then he scored 2 more times doing it so I quit and shut off my box. No point.

OTP isn't too bad as a forward. still no point

we started watching "the walking dead" last night, a show on AMC. Not a bad show, really. Kinda like "I am Legend" in TV format. only 6 episodes on Netflix so far. Netflix is seriously the way to go. Get rid of cable, spend $9 and have TV whenever you want. NO commercials. $100 a year, man. can't beat it even though TV is pointless, too.

well, i would argue that whilke he committed the crime, he was put in
a position where it was highly probably that the DUI would happen, not
sure what the term would be but its got setup written all over it, an
event that otherwise had very little probability (pretty much no
probability) to happen without that setup. and look at the police
guy's record, immorality written all over it. if the glove doesnt
fit, you gotta acquit!

hockey was fun, had 2 breakaways, set up a teammate on one. he's
good, he scores about 75% of his breakaway shots, finds these small
holes. i dont think i scored, but i was forechecking pretty good,
setting up teammates with the failed breakout passes.

My thoughts on the Pens game tonight

First, WAY TOO MANY BREAKS in action.  Jesus, every minute was a whistle for something.  It took me over an hour and a half to watch the game with hitting the fast forward button (I was watching at my uncle's on Comcast.. GameCenter won't have that issue).  

Cooke's hit.. tough call.  My first reaction was a ShanaBAN for whatever the hitter's name is.  But I dont know, it was close.  he got a double minor for roughing I guess.. no idea what the second penalty was for, maybe the hit?  The guy should have bent his knees more to hit Cooke to avoid the head as a point of contact.  Maybe Cooke learned a lesson from it.  He came back so it couldn't have been that bad.

Second, Pens owned.  Their PP was 2/4 then 2/5.. still 40%.  Sullivan was pretty invisible all game, does well on the point though.

Malkin is incredible, though he didnt' shine as much as could have tonight.  

Kennedy with that 5 hole, he's good.  Too many TK haters.  Jealous, I guess.

Malkin is the Shaq of faceoffs.   I know he went 25% last game, no idea tonight.

Calgary got 3 nice goals.. other than that, they suck.  

WTF is up with Malkin getting retaliatory penalties? Sure, Glencross tripped him from behind and slashed his stick.. let it go, let the PP work itself out.

Ah well.. I was getting mostly annoyed by how long the game was taking.  No way I could watch every game with commercials.  No wonder why I skipped through most of the games last year and skipped some games altogether.

I've thought of similar ideas before, but the thing is that the expert will still win most of the time. Sure, even a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes, and there's beginner's luck, but if your'e the best at something, no way will you lose to the worst.

Highlights are on NHL Video. I might watch 'em later. Definitely going to my car and going to bed early tonight.

Gonna go to Sean's on Saturday night, maybe I can convince them to watch the Vancouver game before the fights. We'll see. I'll watch Calgary at another point, Sunday maybe. Maybe watch the Calgary game and the Oilers game both back to back on Monday. Or the Vancouver and Calgary games on Sunday. Would still take less time than watching them both on TV.

bruins had 2 open net chances, one was a beautiful play on the PP,
feed across low slot, WIDE OPEN but he was falling away from the puck,
timmonen got his stick in the way and blocked it, or it was a tied
game. later seguin had a wide open net, knocked the puck out of mid
air into bryzgalov, way right instead of to the net (From the L side).

oh yeah,. today we had a formation in Class A's, dress uniform, at
least 80 but maybe 85, kinda breezy but u cant fee shit in that
uniform, extremely uncomfortable having your hands behind you (hurts
my right bicep area all the time doing that) and my feet were getting
sore, legs were getting sore, neck was getting sore, finally the
sergeant asked me if i was alright and i was like "man, i need some
water, a lot of water" so i got to get out of the last 20 min or so,
came back out and it was finishing up, but yeah it was a Sergeant
Major (maybe of the installation, he was a big shot guy, maybe even
higher than that) and he personally checked everyone's Class A, 6
platoons, Id say 15 people in each platoon (there were 2 more platoons
but thankfully he didnt check them), asked me like 5 questions, when
my last monthly counseling was (today), how that went (it went well,
sergeant major), when my secondary range for promotion is (i said 2.5
years, which i believe would be tomorrow) and what i needed to do to
get promoted..I said go to WTC training (actually its WLC training, he
didnt question me) and perform responsible duties for the unit. then
said i had a finger print oin my one symbol, otherwise I was good to
go.

i wasn't intimidated. the more you think about it, the more its
forced. just do it.

mason, the token black guy from DLI, he;s like 44, pretty cool dude,
he apparently questioned the sergeant major, sergeant major got pretty
pissed about that. mason isnt the smartest guy, not dumb, id say more
aloof, doesnt really think too hard, doesnt take very much personally.
Markarian was beside him, said thankfully it happened because the sgt
major got distracted and didnt ask markarian anything. "Whos the
battalion commander?" "Whos the installation commander?" whos the

u can have pic-in-pic on gamcenter. wasnt loading any games earlier,
let me try it out now. yeah pic in pic works, and the audio is for
the feed you last clicked on, not shabby. heard complaints that all
the feeds would have audio and u couldnt change it (last year i
believe).

u'd need a big tv to even be able to really see the othejr game (or
all the games if 4 at once). nice how u can click to all the action,
too. didnt look at any other features.
