crosby got injured in the 2nd period, looked like interference to me
but u could make a case franzen was finishing his check. i dont
remember seeing him much after that, but a few minutes after the hit
talbot scores the 2-1. and yeah dude, what the fuck was Osgood doing
with his angle, all he had to do was be like 4 inches to his left and
talbot probably wouldnt have scored.
the most hilarious part is 205 left when the wanger hits the crossbar
and EVERYONE thinks its a goal.
goal light? uncheck. goal buzzer? uncheck. crossbar/post ping?
check the video is shit quality so i cant really tell where hteh
puck is, and u hear the ping a bit after it happens cuz everyone's
already going the other way for the puck....detroit was in denial to
think a non-goal is a goal, cheering like that. even the little kid
in the stands near the camera puts his hands up (and hes NOT EVEN
LOOKING AT THE GOAL, muahahahha)
cant see from the video i saw but still no idea how fluery stops that
second shot at the end. theres the shot from the blue line, gets
caught up in the middle, then a quick shot from a wanger and fluery
does down to his butterfly.
that guy could have scored at the end if he did talbot's shot.
fleury was already diving to his right (shooters left) when he
releases. someone jumped over to try and block the shot (dont know
who) but clear he wasnt gonna get it. Wanger was in denial to think he
was gonna score with 1.6 seconds left and the pouck on his stick.
talbots first goal was a beauty, i believe it was a dump, then a
forecheck by malkin and talbot. wanger was in denial thinkin he was
gonna get that puick through malkin's skate. over to talbot (and this
is why i watched it) he dribbles the puck. I have these two pictures
that show Bertuzzi i think coming up to talbot and trying to whack the
puck away. both stick are about teh same disatance away, talbots
blade is angled down, bertuzzi's is angled up. then the next picture
bertuzzi's stick is behind talbot's and the puck is in the net. i was
like "what the hell just happened?" but in the video talbot dribbles,
dangles the puck. bertuzzi man, ALLL he had to do, and I MEAN ALL HE
AHD TO DO, was go after talbot with a body check. i swear bert
looked scared, all he did was stick his stick out and started skating
in a circle to talbot's side rather than INTO himt, AWAY from any
contact.
i guess in 2003 (or 04?) when he broke that guy's spine he had a
little more fear about physical play. gave up the first of two by
the game winner, booooooom.
and i remember seeing a picture of cookie monster on that breakaway,
where he's being pushed into osgood byu the backchecker. and cook has
both his knees going into osgood. the pensblog said something like "u
KNOW cookie jumped into Osgood, bluh bluh bluh" and from even the
picture I was like "theres no way, he's being pushed pretty hard" and
indeed, the backchecker leans into cook. cook would have had have
been falling back to stay upright. so he lands into osgood, video
looks like osgoods lower right but the picture was like dead center.
if cook would have done a talbot shot or been faster skating he could
have scored.
didnt need it tho, booom.
