madness

man, people can't write, let alone blog.   petshark, patrick hoffman...george malik.  its all smoke-blowin', "hey look at me, i suck at  life but i should be important in yours!"

i got something they can blow, and its not smoke.

got my initial pulmonary test done today.  the doctor therapist guy was pretty awesome, he kept telling me the instructions, and i apparently wasn;'t following./  "breath deep, then blow out hard, blow out til you cant blow anymore, then hold your breath"

first time I coughed as i was breathing , messed it up.  second time, apparently i didnt breath hard enough, but it was fast.  next time i breathed deep enough, but not hard enough, then last time was in the middle.  he then repeated the instructions, but that was it.  print it off, "take it to the doctor". no idea what he repeated the instructions. i was ready for a fourth try.

i ask him what a quick look at the results show.  "you;'d have to pay me more to do that".  pretty cool guy, in good spirits.  i told him i'd try, but i didnt see why he couldnt just give me a quick "you're good" or " you muight have asthma".

so i figure take it to my primary care perosn and head toward the elevators. luckily the in processing nurse told em the doctor was calling me.   i walk back and he says "you have an appointment", no shit i was here for 20 min.  so the doctors office was 2 doors down from the therapist guy, no wonder he wanted more money, haha.

go in friday for a breathing test, said theres some minor restrictions in my breathing but since i get major shortness of breath during workouts he's gonna get to the bottom of it.

he also said I had an appointment for a pulmonary exam last march.  that was like 3 days before i left Texas and i forgot about it when i got here.  oh well.

i told him my chest hurts too, but he said we'd start here.

he also said if i cant pass some tests, like a PT run, and basically some ruck marches, that i'd be kicked out of the army.  thats not gonna happen.  i passed a PT run with bronchitis.

he gavem e the good news that theres a lot more medication for asthma than an inhaler.  cant wait for that good stuff, cuz thats what I need.

albuterol is a joke.
