people don't push themselves in life. I already finished 20% of one class and 100% of a 2nd class in 2.5 hours. too easy. What do you think about taking pharmacology (online course, would be a joke), microbiology with lab and chemistry II with lab in the spring while working full time? not to mention having a baby in the middle of the semester. Basically, the class days would be tuesday and thursday or monday and wednesday (can only be 2 days so I don't have to worry about messing up the work schedule too much).
We'll see how it works out. I wanted to take a 4th class, A&P either I or II but with lab, that's too much class time. It'd hnever work out with work , studying, baby, family, gym, etc. etc.
people at work usually use their phones, go on facebook. no idea why.
The only kind of freedom man really wants is the freedom to be comfortable. - that's from Sons of Anarchy. But if we throw in Erich Fromm's idea, doesn't freedom entail a responsibility that would never allow a comfort? Interesting - he says we hide by three means: 1) through authority (makes sense, don't have to think), 2) through destruction - also makes sense, if there's no you by destroying yourself, can't be free, and 3) through conformity .. since there's no authority in our society, we hide through mass culture. interesitng stuff. now that's learning. screw this shit i'm doing now, . gotta do 58 tests, 25 questions per test. just did 14 of them really fast.. the tests are stupid- name the verb in this sentence.. find the participle in that sentence. so I click through the answers, hit "send" it gives me the ansewrs , i copy and paste them in notepad, go back to the test, put in the right answers, and booom. 100%. such a waste of time. i'm not leraning anything from it. the stuff is actually harder than it sounds, but it's not hard. just takes time which i'm not putting in.

Sat question. What's the formula for the problem type such 3 ppl can mow 10 lawns in 20 hours. How long does 34 ppl cut 100 lawns. How do you do those problems?

another nurse and i were debating it, and she said "yeah, we use algebra and geometry all the time, figuring out how to plant our garden or lay out a room, figure out how fast to drive when we're going a certain distance to get somewhere on time (when does that ever happen? go to maps.google and get the time from them, go the speed limit, case closed).
so i guess her point was that we use the basic principles of them. but that doesn't mean we actually "do" algebra or geometry. i fail to see it, anyway. it's only basic math. and by basic, i mean + - * and / no need for anything else in our daily lives, we never have to figure out a variable unless the variable is x in the equation a + b = x where we know a and b. boooooom
i could tell she was thinking "yeah i'm right, he doesnt' see it" but no, that's not how it works.

Bama also said Romney wants to implement 1920s economics, 50s something else , prolly military, and 80s foreign policy .
Economics is def biggest area, but Romneys ideas don't work. He said hell create jobs, but that's just words.
It'd be hard to challenge the pres In debates...they do the job everyday, have all the info, classified as well. Unless the pres actions have horrible results that can be challenged, its not much of a fight.
PRESIDENT OBAMA: Governor Romney, I'm glad that you recognize that al-Qaida's a threat because a few months ago when you were asked, what's the biggest geopolitical threat facing America, you said Russia — not al-Qaida, you said Russia. And the 1980s are now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because, you know, the Cold War's been over for 20 years.
it's statements like that that give the president some credibility and relatability.

Dude, Obama was on for the most part. Romney was going on about how the navy and air force are the smallest since 1917/1953. and wants to give then more ships and jets. Obama comes back with "there's also less horses and bayonets" pretty funny.
Not sure if that's in the video.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/23/horses-and-bayonets-debate-obama-video_n_2004038.html?utm_hp_ref=elections-2012
two zingers in that video. add the "the 1980s want their economic policies back" and you have the third strike pitch, fastball down the middle @ 120 mph.
The only way Romney will win, and I mean only, is 'cause of economics. That's probably the biggest issue in the country, and for good reason.
Otherwise, Obama clearly has the experience from being in office, and Romney has no clue what the President does. better speaker, knows the issues better from actually doing them, i dont see how romney can win except economics.

decent, still won 1-0, he really had no chance.
In the most famous attempt to figure out why we sleep, in the 1980s,
Rechtschaffen forced rats to stay awake in his University of Chicago
lab by placing them on a disk suspended on a spindle over a tank of
water. If the rats fell asleep, the disk would turn and throw them in
the water; when they fell into the water, they immediately woke up.
After about two weeks of this strict enforcement of sleeplessness, all
the rats were dead.
thats crazy.

I was thinking of moving upo to 80lbs on that machine. i only do it
like once a week anyway, and do another 2 or 3 days of pushups.
only do that 25 lbs on each arm once a month. i did 60 reps of 30 lbs
once, but that was the first workout i did. after the chest press, i
cant do much.
class.

work is rather dull
Re: [Madness Writers] 10/19/2012 06:32:00 AM
60 for me. zero exposure. too.
i should start doing pull ups again.
i did 80-90 reps of that machine where you sit down and push it
forward, tricep/chest workout, 70 lbs. then did probably 2 minutes in
the plan k position on a ball, rolling it side to side and forward to
get some more core workout. then did 25 lbs each arm, lay on my back
and lift em, i think 30, maybe 40 reps. ten plank position again for a
minute, then 60 reps of 30 lbs abs (doesnt seem to do much, should
have done some squats instead).
i was breathing pretty good after that, only took 7 min or so.
the other night I did 2 minutes of plank on the pushup bar, took a few
minute break,. then did 55 pushups on thhe bar. was surprised my arms
werent sore from the plank, cuz I do the plan k position with my
wrists, not my elbows.
i had the sherlock show on while playing a game. wasnt really paying
attnetion, but definitely looked boring.

smackers. windproof, water proof. fleece. some other high tech
stuff, should definitely keep me warm against the wind, and with the
heated jacket should have no issues all winter.
won 5-0. scored a top shelf shortie on a breakaway. had 4
breakaways, first 3 were the same shot, first one went just wide,
actually, 5 breakaways, very first was a backhander from left to top
right corner, clipped the G's shoulder. then the 3 shorties, missed
wide first, dont remember the 2nd, and scored the third. fifth i shot
far side from left side. clipped the goaltender's L shoulder again.
a bigger curve couldnt hurt, but Im keeping my kovalchuk.
im pretty good out there, but I dont over do it. i try to pass more
than shoot, dont get too aggressive against opponents, unless they get
aggressive, but its rare.
heather said one woman, while watching, said "I like him, he's fast
and...." bluh bluh bluh.
I probably have the most natural skating. our 2nd best guy is good at
skating, but the next best 2 people...seems like they lift from their
hips too much or something, like they're climbing stairs. looks
extremely unnatural.
im definitely getting better at stopping and turning, and controlling
where I want to go in an instant. unlike fuckin NHL 13, NHL pros cant
even do that.
i always find the open person, i could probably play more aggressive
on D, but I just try to cover the open man near the slot or in the
middle. less energy.
this micro, the lab isn't bad, but its pretty stupid when you sit down
and think about it. the class isn't much better.
actually, the class is retarded. no idea, other than a gram stain and
general bacteria (which we covered the first two weeks or less), what
we'd need to know 90% of it for.
the best way to understand a class is to look at it from the
professor's perspective. the professor does way more preparation than
we actually spend doing the lab. takes literally less than 10 minutes
to do a gram stain and 4 other tests. swab some bacteria on a TSA
plate, put in incubator. done. takes longer to sterilize the fricken
hook than to transfer bacteria.

Too bad its the best game, too. I'm prolly gonna sell mine at some point too. After that blatant goaltending interference, I lost all interest
looks like i'm selling my xbox. nhl 13 is complete shit. i'm done with it, and that's no lie. 3rd time i've thrown my controller on the ground and it broke for good. the game's a joke anyway. completely fucking random, good D gets punished, whatever. i don't even care, i really don't. they keep fucking putting tuner updates out every few days, ruinig the game. a breakaway - just fake backhand then go forehand and it's a goal 100% of the time, everybody does it. add to the fact that the D just fucking stands there, and it's a goal if your D doesn't do its job. people exploit the game like fucking crazy. i see why i sold the game every october. not buying into the hype anymore. it's not so much the game (which is completely bullshit), the palyers do more of the fucking shit. have funnot worried. i'm done, might as well sell it and get my money back

When Armstrong finishes with 10 laps of a four-mile loop on the Champs-Elysees on the final day, he clinches first place, winning the event by an astounding 7 minutes and 37 seconds, establishing a record average speed of 25 mph, breaking the mark of 24.8 set by Italy's Marco Pantani the previous year.
If that doesn't mean anything, read this: Although he never tested positive, his career was beset by doping allegations. In the 1999 Giro d'Italia<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1999_Giro_d%27Italia>, he was expelled due to his irregular blood values. Although he was disqualified for "health reasons", it was implied that Pantani's high haematocrit<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haematocrit> was the product of EPO<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erythropoietin> use.
and we all know indurain doped. case closed

the only way to win is to exploit, but there really are no exploits with a good D. or i should say, the only way to win is to get lucky
Re: [Madness Writers] 10/15/2012 06:16:00 PM
Game three of scfinals, guys Ai comes down , drives the net, pushes ward out of his own crease and makes sure he can't come back. Wide open net. Guy.could have stayed on the Hugh slot with the puck all game. Obviously shoots instead. I told him , I'm done. I can't play this game anymore after that.
Actually that was game four. Game one 4 1 him . He was exploiting the d Ai at the blue line. Breakaway city.
Second game I was pissef at his shit, so o kept taking penalties and pulling te goalie. Losing 7 0. I came back flicking around and scored 4 , 7 4. Won next game 4 3. Then that Bs with the goalie. Turned off my xbox after I told him I was done.
Guy said it wasn't his fault. I said nope, bit you saw clearly what was happening and you still shot. It was the most obvious blatant goaltending interference. Can't believe the game is that bad.

Something really bad is happening between the people who love hockey and the game's highest league. I can only try to put it in my own perspective here, of course. What it is increasingly coming down to is: it seems like a lot of us are in the developing stages of an irreconcilable divorce from the NHL.
I may be wrong, but I sense it. A slow but sure drift away from the league. I'm not talking about our love of the game itself but the league and its principals in power, who have once again decided it is better to play no games at all than play the games if it means getting two or three fewer percentage points in "hockey-related revenue."
I may be wrong, but I do not feel like the bread-and-butter fan will be back to NHL games whenever the masters of the universe deign to drop the puck again on a real game. Not this season anyway. I've just talked to too many people that I trust to be hardcore hockey fans who say they really are tired of all this and don't feel like giving their time, money and attention to this league as much anymore, even if they come back.

cece frey or whatever her name is is gonna win. By far the best, not even close.
the top 8 are her, the tattoo head guy and his pal the tattoo arms
(MAYBE the black guy in that older group, and possibly Tina Smith if
she got her act together), the young black girl and that young white
girl from NY, that Janelle is pretty good along with that other white
girl in that group, heather said that rap group of 2 guys and 1 girl
is good (I dont think they are, but simon disagrees as well) and
sister C is pretty good.
My top 4 would be Cece, little black girl, little white girl, tattooed
arms guy (by far the coolest guy). Lot of stiff competition,
sister C is dixie chicks. out.
cowboy needs to pack up and go to nashville. out.
tattooed head has a great voice, but i cant see him getting marketed
very well. out.
rap group, out. the woman couldnt even fuckin sing, and simon;'s
partner said she's a superstar? how?
justin bieber guy is just outclassed by those two young girls. the
other groups cant compare with sister C.
gonna play this ECF game then watch this primer.

that astronomy class is a joke no matter what. probably more of a joke
than my art class and that's a total scam for money.
Re: [Madness Writers] 10/10/2012 12:50:00 PM
I read about half of it so far. Wad pretty good.
Micro is stupid.
99 on astronomy test. Get this. Answers were from pre quizzes hw, which we are given the answers. And gold that was the test.
32 out of 50 ppl didn't get an a. At least 6 Fs. How?
Heather copies my hw, the real hw,so she doesn't go over the material and studied 20 min or so and got an a.
Fricken. Joke of a class. High schools wouldn't allow it in its curriculum.

Re: [Madness Writers] 10/09/2012 03:43:00 PM
excluding a group of people.
but lets take a step back for a second.
prejudice is simply a negative idea about a group of people. no
action taken. no behavior inherent in the thought process.
racism is taking action against a group of people simply because its a
group of people, yet its also an action that inherently puts that
group at a disadvantage. you can't be racist against homeless people
by not buying any of 'em a bag of fries from the local McD's.
you can't be racist for having a fuckin preference.
oh, but 'professionals' say you're looking for other racists. talk
about putting people into groups. i'll do a study, call myself a pro,
and organize individuals with preferences into a 'racist' group, so I
can then be racist against them while seeking others to fulfill my
self-fulfilling prophecy.
idiots.

I am most fascinated by racist profilers. Those people who say "no Asians!" or "I am not interested in you if you are black." I am obsessed with people who think it's okay to say this kind of thing, even when they apologize. "Not into white guys, sorry! Blatinos only! I'm not being racist it's just what I like." Okay fine, you are allowed to have your own desires, but I still think you're a racist.
I always want to ask one of those "No Asians!" guys: if you were a baby and accidentally fell from a plane and landed safely in the middle of Mongolia and were raised by a nomadic Mongolian tribe, does that mean you would have grown up not being attracted to anyone?
It seems in our relatively young Internet age, many people don't yet realize that the digital representation you create is not a reflection of what you want, it's a reflection of you. In Out Magazine last year, the writer Alex Chee said it perfectly in his essay on the subject:

If someone rejected you because of your race, you didn't usually hear about it unless you pressed your case. But men who put NO ASIANS on their profile are not stating a preference… it's even weirder than that: You're looking for a fellow Asian hater to date. You're using the disguise of a semi–socially acceptable way to say you're a racist and looking to hook up with other racists."

Yeah. Gm connected is fun. Otp isn't bad either. Vs is shit. Eashl would be the best one or two nights a week
lost 2 games this morning, sent you a text about it. did a rage "smash the controller against the ground" when the 2nd guy was clearly playing a douchebag (doing the backhand-pass in the neutral zone, the sure sign of a dick). He scored a breakaway goal when my D was flat footed for absolutely no reason to take the lead 1-0. I got a bullcrap goal, then I scored a slapper with Hossa to take the lead at the beginning of the 2nd. Held on to the puck for a lot of the game 'cause he was a douche, didn't deserve to even touch it, when he get a slapper from the point wtih 33 seconds left to win. ok, maybe, but like i told emily a few days ago "For some reason, every game has a goal within the last minute no matter was the score is" then He scores an unintentional deflection with 6.6 seconds left. rage smash. "Fuck that shit, i'm done" no fucking way he even deserved to score that.
so i played the 106st overall guy an hour later , won 2-1 and called it a day. he had 2x my toa and won most of th faceoffs and couldn't score. too random, makes no sense. game doesn't reward anything, not even sure why i play

i started taking it easy after 3 wins. i kept getting breakaways,
doing my patented fake shot then shooting dominant hand top shelf.
goes in everytime if you come in from the weak hand side of the slot.
no matter who you have, which to me means its an exploit, so I stopped
doing it in the 3rd game.
won the 1st 4-1, second was 1-0. 3rd he scores with 30 seconds left to
tie it. i score with 6 sec left,
http://www.easports.com/media/play/video/138104559 BOOOOM
4th went in to OT. i scored with like 20 sec left, pulled goalie, to
tie the game. it was a BS goal. i shot from the point, goalie goes to
glove it, pops it up in the air, comes down and lands on his head,
then gets lost in his padding, so I poke and what do you know? goes
in.
yeah dude, those Isles couldnt get a break for anything. Carolina,
though, is a good team. the players are clearly differentiated, makes
building teams important, i guess. though, he was pretty bad from the
beginning. i had no trouble getting out of the zone, he always took
his D men out of posiiton, trying to check me at the blue line when I
was on a rush..makes it easy to get breakaways or odd man rushes.
5th game, i won 2-1. he got a shortie off a softie. i come back,
shoot a far side wrister, goalie slides to the short side and barely
saves it, puckl bounces to the far side near the crease, and my guy
one times it into wide open net. in one fo the first two games the
Isles had a wide open net and Kessel shot it across the crease, haha.
the kid said "if that was my opportunity, I'd have completely missed,
thats BS" on to the ECF, looks like the Sens, but they're only up 1-0
against the Rags. I know that Rags guy is pretty good. before we
played tonight, the Isles said "dang, Oilers and Rags might not win.
if they both lose its a wide open tournament" i guess the Oilers
are good then. who knows.
http://www.easports.com/nhl/media/play/video/135787509 from first
week, i scored at the very end of the game, didnt give me the goal,
still won. you can see the green light (end of game) comes on after
the puck is in.
Friday, October 5, 2012
aggressiveness, try different things.
guy comes up, goes to shoot, deflects off my guy to the mdidle of the
slot to an incoming opp F who gets a free goal. no way that goalie
moves cross crease in real life, why the fuck would he even move
laterally on an incoming slapper?
no big deal, right? a minute later i move the puck out...well,
ATTEMPT to move the puck out, clear zone, but nope, other team
miraculously gets it, pass across the slot, free goal. now the goalie
doesnt even fuckin move.
this game pisses me off. nhl players dont play like this game says they do.
that 20-0 game, the goaltending was atrocious. sure it was 5-3 most
of the time and i was focusing players to fight, but fleury wasnt
reacting or overreacting unrealistically. completely stupid. guy
was basically walking up to the goal, waiting for fleury to leave the
crease, and having a wide open goal.
im done with this game until next week or the week after. no interest
after this last doozy. cant even get a FUN game in,. perfect
D...fuckin bounces, skating, and pokecheck aggression shit needs
fuckin changed. completely unfun.
Re: [Madness Writers] 10/05/2012 06:05:00 PM
no interest in this game. sent a text to that lamers explaining how
awful the game is.
99% are drag wristers, other 1% are softies, and teh aggressiveness is
completely fuckin arbitrary, if u have the puck near someone in your
corner might as well hand it to em. i check peopkle, they bounce off,
keep the puck. i get hit, like a freight train came through.
no wonder i dont play.
game just pisses me off. the skating is horrendous. competely
unrealistic. they should have just kept last years, at least you can
turn and the players have realistic momentum.
i dont even set a hard forecheck, cuz that gives u pbreakaways left
and right due to the poor skating mechanics, D gets footcuffed for no
fuckin reason other than terrible programming. oh well.
