That David Sedaris Princeton article.. wtf? wtf? he actually said that stuff? no way, man. he would have been booed off the stage.. probably worse than the keynote speaker at our college graduation which was boring as fuck, and that's saying tons. Maybe we just wanted outta there, but it was too long and pointless "ooh, I stopped working in TV making millions and went to the Lord" yeah, only 'cause you got laid off/fired, asshole. now make me a sammich and get the fuck off the stage.
So I just spent about 45 minutes reading about the Mass effect 3 ending, watched the 23:30 video (skimmed most of it) of it, read some thoughts. Without having played the game, I can tell you what happened. It's all part of the indoctrination or whatever it's called... 'cause that's what causes dream-like states and hallucinations. No other explanation that would make for a plausible chain of events, no other way for BioWare to successfully defend the ending. I don't think the ending is bad if taken in that context.. if you go by a strictly "logical" analysis, it's terrible, but you gotta incorporate the indoctrination if you wanna keep it sound. I read
