Toews has a concussion. Pronger. Crosby. Evidently, there's a video on PuckDaddy of Roenick saying that Letang's head wasn't hit. Not sure what he was watching.. Can't watch the video here.. well, not wtihout bringing unwanted attention.
knees are getting better, slowly but surely. Shoulders are jacked. Sucks but within a month I'm sure they'll be fine. Better be, anyway. Sucks 'cause the pain from these injuries makes me not want to workout to make it worse, but if I don't exercise them, they feel worse. The key is to NOT exercise them until there is absolutely no pain felt with the exercise. After moving them around tonight, it's gonna be at least 6 weeks until they're better. might as well make it two months for when I'm back from Peru.
This back pain - so I'm watching 24/7 and a Rangers skater is helping his kid skate on ice at the most famous ice rink in New York City.. Rockefeller Center. He's bent over holding the kid's hand and helping him skate (really he was just walking on ice, but even that gives the kid too much credit).. later on, the guy said he had to stop 'cause his back was hurting which leads me to believe that the reason 80% of people get back pain is 'cause they dont' use proper technique.. and in that instance, the only options are to bend the back and hurt it or bend the knees and be uncomfortable but no pain. It's obvious why people use their backs instead of their knees - it feels easier. Trust me, though, with back pain, there's no option to bend the back. It's all the knees. There was a woman here who obviously doesn't exercise, a patient's wife, who said she started feeling back pain when she was 30 and still has it in her 60s.. Won't feel better if you aren't proactive about it. All I can say is "squats and deadlifts." Deadlifts are by far the best. Squats are good, but they're more for the legs.
Reading about some political things in these Reader articles. The general consensus is this: 1) When there's a hot button topic, it's pretty obviuos what's gonna happen down the road with it. Take, for example, gay marriage. It's obvious that all states will eventually legalize it. So why not now? I'll tell you why in a minute. Legalize drugs? Well, I know marijuana will probably be legalized at some point but we're talking a lot of years from now. Why not now, though? 'cause the political climate dictates what laws get passed and enforced. It's all a lame game. Frickin' joke.
There's a quote "All human evil comes from a single cause, man's inability to sit still in a room." In other words, idleness is the devil's playground. When the quote was given, I highly doubt that TV was invented, and obviously there was no Internet. Of course nobody can sit still in a room for long periods of time. The mind would go crazy.
