platoon sergeant said "take driving shifts with your wife" of
course, "its a long drive" no shit sherlock.
anyway, yeah dude, i ran a 12:37 2 mile today, and i felt great doing
it. a month ago i ran 13:15 and was dieing for about half of it. no
idea how that happened. there were a few points i felt my body
resisting the tempo so i cooled it down very very slightly. ran the
last 1/8 mile or so, still felt great.
did 68 pushups (cheated in a way, i dont think i was going down to the
proper angle and i definitely didnt go up all the way for all of
them...it was a woman sergeant, nothing against women but i figured i
could get a way with it, and i did.)
did 60 in the first minute, took me the entire 2nd minute to get the
next 8, but i was never worried. i tried for 69 but with 5 sec left i
was toast.
the situps i got 73, there were a few times my hands werent locked
behind my back. the sergeant still counted it.
it was bullshit, i got 40 in the first minute, and i realized i was
slowing down. man, i just ignored everything and kept pushing. i
needed 72. with 30 seconds left i still needed 15. i just pushed it
out, counting down from 15, hit 73 at the buzzer.
so im PT exempt, i can stay up later, wake up later, have more time
for me, heather, definitely going to hockey tonight. too bad its
closing for the summer...
hockey 2 days when i come, let me look up some ice rinks, the more
hockey the better...and i wanna get my own little hockey set up like
you, we'll do that sometime this week, go on ebay or whatever and buy
some things. i need a net, shouldnt be too expensive.
