that maker's mark bourbon, they wanted to lessen the amoiunt of alcohol from 90 to 84 proof.   and people flipped out.  are you kidding me?   Maker's Mark was right:  nobody would be able to taste any difference.  and hell, they might've even lowered the price.   in reality though, retail stores always set the price.
