IMPORTANT

DUde, you gotta READ.  READ the frickin' emails you get from the hockey place, man.

Bauer Vapor X60 Comp Blade PM9 Sr Right 3 2 0 51.29 153.87 Waiting Uncertain
Please let us know if you would like to cancel one of the blades off
your order so it could ship out earlier. The Backorder date is 5/11/
11.

Call 'em today and cancel one. Or just get the Warrior blades.  Doesn't matter either way, the Koho sticks aren't in until Wednesday, anyway.

Re: [Madness Writers] plans

oh yeah dude, i could come home, because when I get in Georgia my
stuff will be there...but nah dude, it'll be too complicated to get
it, and i wont have my bike to get a place to stay so I can get
everything else. ill already have my hockey equipment so thats not a
problem. i wish i knew more about the hosuing there. guy hasnt
emailed me back. let me find a phone number I can call to see about
it.

call me son

plans

so i cant drive a rental because i can only count 400 lbs. bullshit.

and i cant get my wife's stuff, i probably shouldnt have said anything
about that. but i didnt know. its on hte fuckin way but because
its not my state of residence it would have to be two moves.
ridiculous man. getting the state changed so she can move it, her mom
was plannin on it anyway.

since i dont really need to find a place now when i get down there, i
have two options

i can fly home for a week and play hockey, bring my army stuff and
hockey stuff.

found a ticket for 340 from here to pit to augusta. only problem is i
wont have a vehicle whjen i get there.

and i can start playing hockey taht weekend man. ice hockey, get paid,
too. so ill probably just drive.

i spent 350 or so today. forgot to get pucks oh well. i got a
warrior traditional blade, 50 smackers. looked better than a 55
smacker. since i have a warrior stick, makes sense.

looking forward to tryin my mission blade with mission stick (I think
that zetterburg PM9 is a mission). those low point kickers have quick
snaps to em man. great for Forwards. and its pro stock, pretty
light. now i have three great sticks, and that Octogun has the Ovie
blade. its actually really good. get the puck higher, definitely a
Forwards shooting stick. im more of a playmaker but its nice to have
options.

caps traded for wideman and some Devil's center. they might be a
force in the playoffs. they have the talent but they cant put it
together. we'll see.

pens didnt do anything at the deadline. no big deal. they need
crosby and once all the good guys come back they';ll be better. they
have the D and the G, need the O.

i would come home, fricken cheap ticket, but i just wont have a car
man when i get to georgia. no car means no hockey. fuck that.

i skipped out on the last hour and a half of hockey today. to talk to
the travel people, but i needed an appointment, and they didnt tell
me. didnt tell me about the DTY move or anything. now i know. oh
well.

gonna drive across the state. gotta do this TRiPs thing for the Army.
fuck em if they dont like the idea. im doing it. ill ship my army
belongings if I have to. definitely shipping my hockey equipment if I
cant get anyone to take em. but Mason is going. oh yeah dude, his
orders got changed from England. He wasnt too happy, looking forward
to England and GA, that sux. luckily im still good to go. ill ask
him tomorrow, even slip him a nice 50. i dont care man, i wanna play
hockey.

ordered

bought 3 blades, u gotta send me one. if u buy 3 blades u get 5% off.
saved almost 9 smackers.

booom. was like 262, minus 26.20, almost 235. not bad.

gotta buy up my pants now. good thing im getting paid tomorrow.
actually today, boom.

cant do much after this week for 3 weeks, cant spend much money. not bad.

taxes in a week or so, and dty move. bonus. arabic money. marriage
separation = 400 smackers a month for the past 4 months.

hopefully get housing money for the past few months too. gotta go
talk to finance. have fun man.

i dont like spending too much money, but its worth it.

add this to teh list

$19, for stickhandling while skating outside.  My stick now , hte blade is getting really thin.

game 7 2009

a few thoughts, just watched teh highlights again.

crosby got injured in the 2nd period, looked like interference to me
but u could make a case franzen was finishing his check. i dont
remember seeing him much after that, but a few minutes after the hit
talbot scores the 2-1. and yeah dude, what the fuck was Osgood doing
with his angle, all he had to do was be like 4 inches to his left and
talbot probably wouldnt have scored.

the most hilarious part is 205 left when the wanger hits the crossbar
and EVERYONE thinks its a goal.

goal light? uncheck. goal buzzer? uncheck. crossbar/post ping?
check the video is shit quality so i cant really tell where hteh
puck is, and u hear the ping a bit after it happens cuz everyone's
already going the other way for the puck....detroit was in denial to
think a non-goal is a goal, cheering like that. even the little kid
in the stands near the camera puts his hands up (and hes NOT EVEN
LOOKING AT THE GOAL, muahahahha)

cant see from the video i saw but still no idea how fluery stops that
second shot at the end. theres the shot from the blue line, gets
caught up in the middle, then a quick shot from a wanger and fluery
does down to his butterfly.

that guy could have scored at the end if he did talbot's shot.
fleury was already diving to his right (shooters left) when he
releases. someone jumped over to try and block the shot (dont know
who) but clear he wasnt gonna get it. Wanger was in denial to think he
was gonna score with 1.6 seconds left and the pouck on his stick.

talbots first goal was a beauty, i believe it was a dump, then a
forecheck by malkin and talbot. wanger was in denial thinkin he was
gonna get that puick through malkin's skate. over to talbot (and this
is why i watched it) he dribbles the puck. I have these two pictures
that show Bertuzzi i think coming up to talbot and trying to whack the
puck away. both stick are about teh same disatance away, talbots
blade is angled down, bertuzzi's is angled up. then the next picture
bertuzzi's stick is behind talbot's and the puck is in the net. i was
like "what the hell just happened?" but in the video talbot dribbles,
dangles the puck. bertuzzi man, ALLL he had to do, and I MEAN ALL HE
AHD TO DO, was go after talbot with a body check. i swear bert
looked scared, all he did was stick his stick out and started skating
in a circle to talbot's side rather than INTO himt, AWAY from any
contact.

i guess in 2003 (or 04?) when he broke that guy's spine he had a
little more fear about physical play. gave up the first of two by
the game winner, booooooom.

and i remember seeing a picture of cookie monster on that breakaway,
where he's being pushed into osgood byu the backchecker. and cook has
both his knees going into osgood. the pensblog said something like "u
KNOW cookie jumped into Osgood, bluh bluh bluh" and from even the
picture I was like "theres no way, he's being pushed pretty hard" and
indeed, the backchecker leans into cook. cook would have had have
been falling back to stay upright. so he lands into osgood, video
looks like osgoods lower right but the picture was like dead center.
if cook would have done a talbot shot or been faster skating he could
have scored.

didnt need it tho, booom.

fuck mike green, cross checkin bastard. legal hit in my books in teh
jaw, vyin for position. it happens EVERY time goin for a puck on the

hilarious

man, there's this one guy that plays on Thursdays, sometimes fridays at pickup hockey (StickTime).  He's , well, he's not very good.  And he has 4 goals and 2 assists in this league.  I have 3 goals.  No way in hell this guy is better than me.  Stickhandling sucks, shooting sucks, skating isn't as good, doesn't play as hard.  And he gets rewarded for it probably 'cause his teammates are better. haha.  Ah well, i'm ready for next season.

note to self

intense night at work, good stuff. time flies, man.

pens tonight, might go to josh's, i know i'll be exhausted from hockey but it's worth it.

holy shit man

i already texted you but holy shit man, Shero every year, how the hell
does he get these trades? does he have the Force or some other
persuasion technice?

big question is kovy is #27, same as adams. considering thats the
worst that came out of this deal, hahahaha

definitely watching tomorrow. i guess pens play toronto two games in
a row. should be 2 wins, cant say for sure 26-27-7, 59 pts for
them.

they lost kaberle too.

man, whata fuckin trade. unbelievable. i was hopin they'd get him,
but from what i read the past few days it seemed like it wasnt even in
the cards.

really, a 7th rounder, and the other teams Im SURE would/were offering
more to get him.

http://www.nhl.com/ice/player.htm?id=8458529#&navid=nhl-keymatch
kovy played 5 seasons as a pen, 95 pts in his 3rd year (2nd full
season, played 14 for rangers at beginning of the first year of
trade). holy shit man, at least 60 pts a season,

keep him and neal, malkin staal crosby, kennedy cook asham, engelland,
kunitz, adams (For the PK, for 500000 u cant beat him, best PK, no
fear in alying down, why sharks scored last night, plus Cook msiread
an assignment.) probably get rid of dupuis. keep connor. get rid of
godard.

defense is lined up for next 3 years. man, that would be a team.
probably too much over cap space, u cant have 5 amazing forwards like
that, haha. thats two full lines then the 3rd line is even good, 4th
keeps the other team from getting chances.

that would be a force. gotta go print these taxes and eat. have fun man

orpik

hopefully orpik isnt out man, if he is the pens arent gonna be doin very well.

niskanen gave up that breakaway in OT. fleury bailed him out, with
that amazing save. still....the one point he had two nice shots, but
that breakaway was abysmal.

seriously, he was in the corner blueline of the neutral zone and
basically gave it to the Forechecker and then the other Shark was
middle of the ice, you saw it im sure. could easily have been a 2-0.
they still scored later.

Re: [Madness Writers] RE: [Madness Writers] Re: [Madness Writers] Re: [Madness Wr...

puck was in the LW corner, goes back to the LW D, he just puts it on
net, falls in front of fluery, then the one D pushes the F away from
the puck as Patrick whoever comes from LW behind net to the slot,
engellend (#5 right?) is on LW side of crease and moves out of
patrick's way and the puck is top crease and he puts her home,
engelland basically had his back turned at that poiint, i think he
tried to reach out in D but he was too far away, too late in his
effort. he shouldnt have gotten out of Patricks way. wouldnt have
been nterference, he owned that ice.

puck went a few inches up, fleury stuck his leg out but was too low.
(and probably too late, too, not sure)

ah, looked like a good game.  Dude. wait.  YOu see Letang blow by the forechecker on the RD side and then stumble? He looked like a rec league player.

And then a Shark in the Shark's O zone went to hockey stop or something and completely tripped over himself, didnt' fall though.  The ice must have been really bad.

RE: fag penalty

Gotta play hard, man. That's the only way to play. Today I probably played the most aggressive D I've ever played. The one guy doesn't really know how to protect the puck the greatest on his right/dominant hand side, so I'd go up on his left and use my left hand to whack the puck or his stick, whichever I got a hold of. If the puck wasn't loose, I'd just keep skating right beside him with my stick around his body on his stick. Most people protect the puck a lot better, or the puck gets poked away, so to skate from corner to corner behind the net like that is not usual.

oh i failed to mention i was in HIS Offensive zone. he was comin back for the puck, i skated, then stopped cuz i figured he had it, the ni realized he sucked and i was a lot faster, but we met at the puck and he turned to my left. no idea how thats ap enalty, he fuckin charged me if anything, i was already standing up figuring he was just gonna
skate by. and i got 2 weeks for that man. cuz that ref thought i
played too hard. fuck yeah i do

one time i beat the one d, the other comes up from behind right and tangles me and my right skate bent inward, obviously i cant stop and i fly into the goalie. i asked the goalie if he was alright, he asked me the same. no big deal, sometimes it happens. clearly had no intent to do that.

the ref siad if i ever do that again he'll suspend me. i told him, the D tangled me up and my ankle was bent inward, not outward to stop.
"Sure sure," he said like i was lying. well fuck you too 18 year
old schmuch who loves to hook and slash during pickup games. he hit me once in a game, i fell. so i got up and he had the puck and i hit him pretty good. he said i shouldnt try thatagain. i laughed at him.

im not scared dick.

gnight

>
> But yeah, that guy's an idiot for turning right (your left).  I'd never do that unless I did a sharp hockey turn to the right to throw off the forechecker.  And even then, going left is ALWAYS easier. Always.  'cause  you can keep your momentum without turning much.  Going right, you lose some momentum but you can really blow by the D if you're fast and decent at handling.

RE: fag penalty

Ah, you put your arms up. That's what I did in the one video I put on youtube where I go up the LW side, get a pass, and then the guy comes into me, so I put my arms up, hit him in the head and knocked his helmet off.. He's really good, one of the best players in the league. I see why the ref thought it was bad, but nah, that's just self defense. It's either put your arms up or get crushed. I'd be upset, too, if that happened to me. Then again, I only got 2 penalties, both which really were not penalties. (High sticking somebody while skating around the corner when the puck was in t he other corner.. Guy must have ran into my stick, I never saw anyone around me. 2nd was when the guy pushed me over from behind, so I came up from behind him and stick lifted him really hard. That's just a stick lift. Ah well.)

i most likely put my hands out when i realized he was being a complete noob to brace the impact, i had no idea this kid is gonna run into me.

i did a 150 degree turn as he hits me so i stay upright, he's laid out on the ground sliding. ref's hands go up.

it actually happened 10 feet across the middle line cuz i was right beside the penalty box, and i threw my stick and gloves in the box and went in.

ref said if i ever did that again bluh bluh bluh, i was like "what the fuck are you talkin about, that wasnt even a penalty, he ran into me."

half circle with my skates as he hits me to stay upright.

RE: [Madness Writers] game

TK really making a name for himself since all the stars are gone.  Kinda odd, 'cause he's really not that good when the stars are in.

Re: [Madness Writers] Re: [Madness Writers] RE: [Madness Writers] Re: [Madness Wr...

OT baby, TK with 2 goals tonight, #1 star of the game if the pens win.

close game, i wasnt sure if they were gonna pull this off.

last 10 min all the fuckin sharks did was keep dumpoin and line
changing, a few pushes and decent forechecks but they were HANDING the
pens a goal.

just like chicago. and washington. 3 games in a row. i dont understand it.

boring to watch, thats for sure, but when they score its worth it .
ill stay up for this

Re: [Madness Writers] Re: [Madness Writers] Re: [Madness Writers] Re: [Madness Wr...

well pens are gonna lose. 14 min left, marleau basically hand
delivers the puck in a giftwrapping to fleury.

pens dont relaly want this game.

Re: [Madness Writers] Re: [Madness Writers] Re: [Madness Writers] great site, hil...

man niskanan just had a sweet play. gets the puck in the LW corner of
the blueline, skates over as a F comes to block any attempt, he just
keeps skating over and forward and has a WIDE open shot, saved. then
about 20 sec later he's on the rush and gets a sweet pass to the
bottom crease but couldnt put er home.

neal man, that guy is a beast, huge skater, fast, determined.
definitely a presence out there.

the announcers for the sharks (had to switch feeds) is unbiased, not
bad. not as exciting and lively as steigy and errey. errey was
drafted 13th overall i think, 1983.

this sharks feed tho, i keep hearing clinks, like a puck hitting a
post, every 10 seconds, randomly. quite annoying. must be close to
the fans or something.

FUCK THAT, eager gets tripped on a semi breakaway. a bit ago LEtang
was CLEARLY Tripped, and way before that he was crosschecked when he
wa down and hit upon a few times unnecessarily. no call. 4 PP for
sharks, 1 for Pens. bullshit man.

Re: [Madness Writers] Re: [Madness Writers] great site, hilarious

HOLY SHIT, a shot from LW slot area WOWWWWWWWW
hits flower, flies up in front of Couture in low mid slot, he misses
the mid air whack, it lands and he has a WIDE OPEN net, no joke,
fluery was down to the right of the crease, outside the crease, he
thought he had it in his pads.

couture hits the puick on the ground and letangs skate is there to
keep it 1-1.

neal is a buzzard out there, flyin and hitting and being a menace

Re: [Madness Writers] great site, hilarious

craig adams has his stick parallel to the boards going after a Defense
dump and the shark grabs his stick and falls, should get a penalty
for embellishment cuz there was no way he would have fallen if he
didnt grab his stick

couture scores on the PP.

staal and letang had a sweet 3-2 Shorthanded affair, letang had a
beauty of keeping the puck in the O zone on the rush, returns the pass
back to the slot but staal couldnt get it,

great site, hilarious

http://boberrey.blogspot.com/ tim thomas and prison bars,
kay-oates, michalek and the hoover, great stuff.

too bad it doesnt update every game, i guess the guy/girl doesnt have a DVR

Re: [Madness Writers] vitale almost scores

orpik i saw got injured then a few minutes later errey said he was
seen doin down the tunnel from a shot , he turned away from the boards
after chasing a puck from a deflected shot...he better not be out.
pens already have 10 injuries, jesus.

penalty kill is amazing. sharks got good movements on the PP but the
pens are keepin em out of the net. fleury and the killers!

vitale almost scores

engellend crosschecks a downed shark 5 times...he got away with the
first two... no idea what hhe was angered about, just skimpered off to
the sin bin. stupid penalty.

BOOOOOOM TK BABY, 6 goals in last 11 games.

wow, what a goal. forecheckin payin off. Neal already has at least
2 extremely well placed checks. he's a finisher, just like cookie
monster. he's The Real Deal for a reason...kinda lame but it sticks.

i dont know what happened, i think a shot and it rebounded to center
high slot, someone on the pen picks up teh garbage and shoots, rebound
to leftish center of the blue moon line and kennedy hits it as a Dman
tries to block with his stick on the puck, but too strong. the Dman
was in front of the puck anyway, no pivot. nice shot by Neal just
now.

some great backchecking already by the Pens. sharks are fumbling .

neal

him and dupuis sandwiched a shark on the boards after a dump, nice
hit, probably the Subway Sandwich of the night, first shift of the
night.

Tuesday, February 22, 2011

err, pull up bar like we had for PX 90

i was thinkin of starting to do PX90 sometime, though working out
staright for an hour is rather boring. i workout during class breaks
and intermittently during lunch and at night.

nice grips on that bar, doesnt hurt like those metal bars outside.

det vs sj

3-2 with like 8 min left, san jose isnt tryin too hard just makin sure
detroit gets no good opportunities. then all the sudden its 3-2 city,
a few people cant handle the puck (for odd reasons, clear in the
neutral zone on a 3-2 then turn over city for another 3-2, detroit on
the rampage, comin down, shot on goal, then the Det F pushes the puck
towards the blue line rather than back to the corner boards. san jose
comes up, guy WIDE open on a semi breakaway comin up free in the slot
cuz of a line change, drop passes to a guy who basically fans on the
shot. then goes the other way, then comes back. san jose on the
boards. then a rather innocent pass back to center blue line, one
timer, goal. SJ 4-2, pretty much game. that was an intense 30-45
seconds of hockey. no sound, too.

my pushups increased to 56, my shoulders and triceps were killing me
when i woke up, were bothering me soemwhat over the weekend then
yetserday i was good, today i wake up and holy shit i was sore. did
15 last night easy and slow to just keep my muscles good, i felt a
little soreness but nothing too bad. i did 40 the night before and
woke up fine, odd.

so i got my pushup bar today, good for doing pushups cuz ur raised
off the ground. the one kid who suggested i get them said he does
sets of 30. i can do 40 fairly easily on the ground, 30 seemed easy.
but shit man, u do got a lot further down, its a great workout because
it doesnt hurt and u get a much better workout. the last 5 are muscle
city.

got resistance bands, a grip with 3 different weights (15, 20, and
25lbs) not really sure what the weights suggest. all 3 at once is
ridiculous. even one alone is fairly difficult.

played hockey, its not really fun 2 on 2 with a 10 year old as one of
the 4. we have a goalie but i appear to suck because i dont really
try. half court hockey, ill play but im not gonna try to be superman
out there.

my situps decreased from 72 to 62. i did 45 or 46 in teh first minute.
then i couldnt do much. even holding the next guys' feet my abs
were on fire. just did like 300 crunches or so, 10 minutes, easy.

fuck army pt, no wonder i never took it seriously. u cant get any
better doing that shit.

5 weeks left. nice, flyers lost in OT to coyotes. san hjose is a
force, 7-3-0 in last 10. phoenix won last 8, longest current streak
ahead of the devils. devils tied with stars halfway through.

send me an email about your game, im going to bed. have fun son.

Harmarville (north side of pittsburgh up by Fox Chapel, Oakmont, directly on the Allegheny River) has inline hockey.  I knew about it before 'cause that's where some of the high school teams play there games at times.  Anyway, it's $10 for stick time but they have pick up games every day for 2 hours (I guess depending on if people show up).  they also have ice hockey pickup daily from like 930 tro 1130 am and 1230 to 230 pm.. weird times, man.  Especially the AM.  the ice hockey stick time is 4-6 pm but only for 18 and under, that's even more weird.  I doubt too many people show up to the AM slot.  if I lived in pittsburgh, I'd probably just play there.

hmm, the team we're playin' tonigth has the best (well, 2nd best) guy in the league, CJ.  The only girl in the league, too, she has 2nd most points on the team - 6.  She's actually pretty good, especially on faceoffs, but I'm gonna show her up today, I've gotten a lot better so it's on.

I need somebody to help me practice passing, it's really the only thing I have left majorly to work on.. receiving passes especially, one-timers would be nice, too.  If I had that, I'd be the major team player.  Too bad you're not here for that, we'd be hte ultimate team, like the Sedins.

Hockey ratings, I haven't checked those at all this year , I don't think.  The last two years I'd check 'em once a week just to see what people thought.  I learned that it odesn't matter, playoffs come and the new season begins.  No word on if crosby is coming back, still has about a month and a half to decide.  Doesn't matter, really.  Pens have a good D squad.  no offense, though.  With Crosby and Neal, Staal, they'll have 1.5 lines.  Bring in Letestu, Comrie, maybe 2 lines. maybe 3.  They have the D, though.  Last year i predicted 2nd round at the best, and that's what they did.  This year, well, I'll have to watch Neal play, and see if Crosby comes back.  Wiht crosby, i'll say Eastern Conference Finals.  Without Crosby, 1st or 2nd round..

I like to check Yahoo, ESPN, SI, TSN, to see who they think's gonna win each playoff round and in how many games.  In 2009, there were 5 upsets.  In 2010, 4 of the 7 Eastern Conference series were upsets.  2 upsets on the Western side, but really, they weren't upsets (Detroit over Phoenix, Chicago over San Jose).  6 upsets.  I don't think too many people voted on Flyers making the finals, let alone MOntreal making it to the conference finals.

Last night's game was good, maybe I'll watch Friday night's game.  Gotta work wednesday and thursday night.

Crosby had 66 points in 38 games.  Goes on a 3 game 0 point streak, and then he's out.  Tell me he isn't hte MVP of the league, even now.  He obviously makes a huge difference on the team.  Malkin doesn't.  Nobody on the Caps or Lightning do, and Vancouver has 2 sedins.  Take 1 sedin out of the equation, and the other isn't MVP, guaranteed.  Who else can even come close to MVP? let's see.  2 Vancouver and 2 Lightning in top 4, Sedins, Stamkos, and St. Louis.  Stamkos is NOTHING without St. Louis.  Well, I wouldn't say nothing, but he's not MVP without St. Louis.  And St. Louis obviuosly isn't an MVP without Stamkos, feeding him pucks all season.  Crosby is still 5th in points,

Sedins are +22/+24, Crosby was +20 after 41 games, i mean come on.  Even if Crosby doesn't come back, he'll still finish top 15 in scoring, I bet.  top 50 at worst, but i doubt he'll make past 25th.  We'll have to see. Sedins could make about 100 points each, add or subtract a few.  same with st. louis and stamkos.

Got 7 hours of sleep, felt tired all day, fell asleep for 2.5 hours.  Now I feel good.

news

http://bleacherreport.com/tb/b8fkb

whoever fuckin rates these teams can suck it.

last week pit was 17th, this week 13th. guess what, they STILL have
the 4th most wins in the league, 4th most points, and thats without
crosby for almost 2 months and malkin for almost a month (or so) and 9
injuries currently. fuck those guys. yeah they dont have much of a
chance at the cup currently. devils are 10th. they wont even make the
playoffs. i dont care if they are 15-1-2 in last 18. that means they
were like 5-35-x before that. too bad so sad. good riddance fatty
brodeur.

the wild above the Pens? HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA even the coyotes,
kings, FLAMES (HAHAHHAHAHAHA) bruins (i dont care if they have
kaberle, where's their offense?) , captials stand no chance, lightning
might. only the top three have a chance, Van Det and Phy. thats if
crosby doesnt come back.

with neal man, we're looking at a slightly better team. with all the
injuries (except malkin) returned, cup contender.

only those 4 teams, maybe include lightning for top 5. thats it.
if devils make the playoffs, i'd consider them, but i highly doubt
that.

state tax return

at 1200 smackers. (military in PA gets all their taxes exempot...I was
going to go to the DoT in town on Wednesday to get my state residency
changed since military dont pay state taxes here but since i found
this Im set. ill pay 60 a month and then get it back in one lkump sum
at the end of the year. i dont need the money. im gonna start
putting more moeny in my retirement fund (350 last year, thats not
much, like 15 a paycheck, and invest our bonuses and tax returns). no
sense in wasting money. heather apparently owes almost as much as
1200 to Lousiana. i told her to get that fixed, she said her uncle
will do it. whatever's clever.

4000 for federal return, thats 5200, not too shabby. heather's like
"we can use that to pay for the wedding" i cant wait to get that
over with. there is a hockey place like 15 miles from her house, we
could play before the wedding, muahaha.

do you have extra inline skates? my right foot keeps getting pressure
on the top of the high foot area from where the shoelaces tie, i dont
tie the top slots anymore only up to the next to last ones. still
hurts. i would buy new ones but i only need them for 5 or so more
weeks (hopefully one kid will take my bag of army clothes and hockey
stuff with him and ill have my stuff shipped to get it reasonably
after i arrive in georgia. im not waiting 2.5 weeks again like i did
last time. fuck that. thats why i pretty much have to drive there.

sean, this friend, said those padded leg short spandex things arent
good for ice hockey, people wear something similar but its different
and for ice. im gonna research it now. yeah i guess they are
different. i guess ill have to buy new ones. whatever, 50 smackers
isnt bad. http://www.icewarehouse.com/descpage.html?pcode=HP5K10

im still debating on whether to come hom but im 75% sure im just gonna
drive to Georgia then take a week over the summer (Memorial day or
july 4th, or even the week before labor day to get a tux and play that
week, you're probably going on a honeymoon the week after.) that
means your gonna have to send me my ice skates. send em the slowest
method, cheapest.

161 Nuchols St Unit 7079
GFAFB, TX 76908.

Ill send you a money order sometime after March 1 when I get paid.
in a week or so.

hef getting married, muahhaa. never too late i guess.

that oklahoma town wtinessed 100 degree change? we had about a 85, 90
degree change here in 5 or 6 days. now its gonna be a great 75 all
week and most of next week too. perfect man actually i would say 72
when u arent doing anything physical is perect, abouyt 65 when doing
physical. i had that worked out a few years ago cycling.

85 is too hot.

pens game

wow, Blackhawks first goal was perfect teamwork, perfect passes.  I woudln't say unbelievable, but amazing talent.

Pittsburgh Shortie with cookie and Talbot - Talbot is fast, man.  He surprised me with that short pass to Cooke who can't get it so talbot gets it, effectively passing it to himself.. quick speed needed to get it, though.  Then, he makes a mad dash down the right wing side, gets it, fakes the shot and goes for the pass.  Sweet play.  Not sure what the goalie was doing, way outta position, perfect pass by Talbot, too.

wow, chicago's 2nd goal,no wonder why you said that's not a goal.. complete fluke.
WOW Pittsburgh's late game tying goal, unbelievably open net with a puck waiting to go in.

WTF, WHAT THE FUCK! Kennedy with a wide open net, jesus christ.  even I wouldn't miss that.

Jesus, MAF kept 'em in that game. especially in OT.

Kennedy walked the puck in.  Might as well have not even tried.  Dupuis off the post, wow.

son

Read the article by Gladwell -  something about Ecommerce and the Internet boom  "The Real Ecommerce revolution happened offline."  So many flaws man.  Usually, he protects himself well enough so that most sides of an issue can be accounted.  However, this one, wow, a lot of flaws.  Bill Gates' Business @ the speed of typing (What about documents already made such as photos, videos, word processed files, etc.), HUGE FAIL.  And the fact that the Ecommerce was a huge time saver and more convenient and sometimes the only option for consumers is not even mentioned in an article that really focuses on that.. it only focuses on the business aspect.  Yeah, what ab out the consumer?  He sums that part up in the last sentence without giving any validity to it.

His early stuff is not nearly as good nor well though out as his later stuff.  There were two other articles I had to skim 'cause the topics were bland and the writing wasn't much better.  One on Hair dye or something was absolutely a waste of time, I barely read any of it.  And his "opinion" articles are so laughable, it's so obvious why he hasn't written one in years.

A very good writer when he shows his intelligence.  I'm surprised the Ecommerce article is so terrible. He's definitely one of the better writers out there, at least more recently.

Hockey today, gonna practice toe drags.  And then dominate the high school kids.

slow day at work, reading a lot of Gladwell.  The article on homelessness is one of the better ones I've read so far.  The one about the internal and external audience was good (The Spin Myth), though the overall message is probably skeptical.  The article on Allen Iverson is interesting, especially if you've read some of those stats articles on behindthenet and the other site on my reader.  It misses an important point - you can't alienate factors when the game is completely dynamic (sorta like hockey).  Baseball, golf, tennis, they're static because there's repeatedly a start point (serve, ball location, pitcher/hitter) and then the end point is unknown.  In Hockey and basketball, the start point is more dynamic, so there's really no way to effectively analyze these games via stats alone.    Football, well, that's obviuosly a static start point with different formations for offense and defense.

The article mentions something about the Win Score, an algorithm that shows the truest rank of best players in the NBA.  Let me look it up.

Win Score Formula=(Points)+(Rebounds)+(Steals)+(½Assists)+(½Blocked Shots)-(Field Goal Attempts)-(Turnovers)-½(Free Throw Attempts)-½Personal Fouls

hahahahahahahahahahaha.  wow.  absolute fail.  There's no mention of quality of teammates, quality of competition.  +/- (whatever basketball would call this if they have  this type of statistic).  I read some of those hockey stats articles, not many, and the quality stats are those dealing with teammates and competition.  Then again, no single statistic can show the best player in any league.  I mean, come on, how can you say that "hey, my Win Score formula ranks the best players in the league," wtih a serious face when there will always be a subjectivity to how people rate them.  Obviuosly though, the Sedins and Crosby are in the top 4 in the NHL, no questions asked.  The 4th could be, well, up for debate and anywhere between 2nd and 4th, Crosby is #1.  Don't need stats to tell you that.

There's another article on how stats are ponitless 'cause statisticians can make the results fit their model.. haven't read it yet, but It looks interesting.

movie

that Saw movie is kinda lame.  Entertaining, but not great.  Supposedly, writing for Saw 8 began and the story is great.  I highly doubt it.  I'm sure if anybody watched all 7, they'd find a lot of flaws, particularly with the "understudies" that are employed by the original Jigsaw guy.

Hockey, son.  Let's get it on.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLLAj70hVwc

best video, what i would have done after u get the puck off the
boards (which is nice) is since ur going slow u stand up and act like
ur lookin for ur teammates, then u just fuckin take off and deke the
Dman cuz hes not expecting it. i did that a lot in CA, and by the
time they realize ur puttin on the jets you're goin by them...i
usually always go to their right, my left, maybe fake a deke to the
right first, and especially in ur position u have the entire slot wide
open once you blow by that D guy. u were going slow and just let him
basically hit the puck away.

as for the faceoffs, i dont know man, those guys in CA were good.
thats the Monday league you're polayin in. no joke. tuesdays were a
little faster, little more skilled. wednesdays were an entirely
different game. muich faster, everyone was good, i didnt exactly have
jets on wednesday cuz everybody was fast. i was still one of the top
speed guys but i couldnt blow by many people.

that backhand pass, that was weak sauce. if i was that opponent I'd
have smashed down the court with that puck and shown u how to make a
play.

Re: [Madness Writers] hockey

not bad not bad. i commented on the one. the other u made a nice
play to get the pouck off the boards and continue moving forward. the
video's always on u so its hard to tell much cuz i dont know where
everyone else is and the puck. good form going on. let me watch
these pen's highlights

hockey

Yeah, saw the pens highlights last night 'cause someone on facebook said they won in OT.  Kennedy had a sweet rebound goal for the win.  Perfect bounce for him.  Pens looked like they dominated according to the highlights.

Got a lot of video of me playing.  I look really good as a skater.  I rarely ever get the puck.. one total shot on goal in all the video (though I had at least 5, 2 legitimate shots plus like 3 rebounders which are hard to get leverage on if they're too far away or way too close.

You can see that I don't skate much on the PP, and we're both open , could easily make a one timer to each other, but nobody ever passes it up.  What a shame.

I'll upload the rest later.

watched most of titanic, sitll have at least a half hour. They did do a really good job on making the whole thing look and feel real.  I could never watch it again, there are a decent amount of slow spots that, without killin' the energy, dwindle down the motivation.  The musicians playing on the deck as the ship is sinking.. didn't quite get that.  The one musician said something for comedic relief but I couldn't understand his jibberish so I didn't get the joke.

And for Kate Winslett to go after Leo after one night, well, it shows more about her than anything.  A lot of pent up repression getting released, if anything.  The movie does a darn good job of making rich people look fake and boring, but the same could be said about any group of people.  Most people just aren't that interesting.

didn't get enough sleep, now my head feels weird.  not the greatest feelin'.  Makes me not even wanna go to hockey.  i'm definitely goin', though.

55 degrees out, sunny. too hot in this apartment 'cause of it.  would be nice to be outside, though.

Re: [Madness Writers] pens wins, pens win!

pens STILL have a +33 goal differential. only phi and boston have
more on the east, and vancouver is killing in the west at +59. thats
without crosby and malkin and (now) kunitz . thats impressive man.
we'll see what shero does for the trade deadline. kovalev would be
nice. brad richards as well.

game

can't type much, gotta work.

played the best team last ngiht.  lost 6-5 in OT, it was a really fun game.  I barely skated hard, mostly because our two best players won't pass to anyone else (guess they don't trust anyone else), and anytime the other team got the puck, they passed it up ahead (either because of my forecheck or because the guy was wide open, or both).  so backchecking was never an option.  I played really well skating wise, not so well puck-handling wise.. the puck was bouncing a lot, oh well. i'm not that great anyway, not yet.

at the end of teh game, I'm in front of the goalie who's yelling "get outta my way!" I don't like to though, 'cause I like to block the shot myself.. but I got out of the way.  Puck's at RD , he passes it to LW who is at the top of the circle.. one times it to the goalie, 5 hole.

goal

Got a goal.. on the PP, I think.  Could be wrong about that.  I know I drew a penalty - somebody slashed me right after the faceoff on my right forearm, never felt it until the ref blew the whistle.  He called a slash, so it must have been on me. No other reason why my arm would hurt.  In the midst of action, sometimes you just don't feel it.

Anyway, the goal: off the faceoff on the RW side in the O zone, I was on the LW side of the faceoff, teammate wins the faceoff to the RW, goes back to get it, passes it over to me, I'm in the low slot, look up real quick, then look down, push the puck forward a foot and as it's movin' I did the snap shot.  My body was more on the LW side and I shot R middle.  Never really saw it go in, just saw the net move.  Goalie in the way.  I got one or two other shots, never reall yhad the puck much.. anytime the puck came to me, I usually fucked it up somehow , the puck loved to bounce.  Hard to do much wti hthose.  Even teammates were havin' trouble controlling it.  Ah well, breathing isn't bad.  Gotta work tomorrow.  have fun

Emily took some videos, I'll have to watch 'em tomorrow night and send 'em over.  Mom and her said I look like a hockey player with my movements.. maybe wiht movements, but my stickhandling sucks. I'll be the judge tomorrow night.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdsTUcuD7YA&feature=player_embedded  it makes no sense.  maybe you can explain it to me, 'cause I don't understand the situation.  The kid tells him this for no reason.. it just doesn't seem like this is a real-life situation to me.

Call of Duty .. I can play 1 or 2 games and then I'm not interested.  First off, it's too easy.  Point, shoot, run.  The objective gametypes are generally more fun 'cause you can pick 'em off while still playing the objective.  However, Hardcore is the best way to play, 'cause one shot kills.. if they're far away, you just gotta hit 'em once, maybe twice.  in regular game modes, it's nearly impossible to kill at far distances if they're running 'cause it takes a full frickin' clip.   The maps are MUCH better than modern warfare 2.  Much better.  The problem with objective gametypes is that it's almost always uneven number-wise: 5 vs 4, and the team of 4 almost always loses (unless the 5 are newbs).  Once you get the maps down, and especially aiming, it's too easy.  And since it's on the Wii, you end up playin' the same guys again sometimes on different days.  And for some reason, most people don't know how to aim easily with the controller (probably have their settings set so they're screwed no matter what, that's what happened to me at first), makes them easy targets.  Consistently go 2:1 kill death ratio.  Not that i care.  Not an exciting game, but better than the last one.  As far as single player, it's just point and shoot, the A.I. is awful (some parts they literally never stop teleporting in, that's no way to keep the player interested, not me anyway), it's linear, dumbed down to the point where you gotta follow another character throughout every mission so far.  I never did beat modern warfare 2.  probably won't beat this one either.  Definitely a good game to have around for staying up later, though I continue to see myself rarely playing it.  Free Wi-Fi on the Wii, can't beat it.

GSP would beat Silva, no doubt.  Silva might be a reactionary fighter like you say, but he's bigger and taller than GSP.  I couldn't see GSP beating him.  If they were the same height and weight, GSP would kill the spider.  He'd go in for the takedown and not hold back.

St. Pierre got full of himself when he first won the UFC title back in 2006. There's was talk of him being unbeatable. He listened and had to learned a lesson.

"This thing for me, I take it (Silva talk) like a distraction from my fight. My immediate goal is to win against Jake Shields," said St. Pierre. "I made a mistake in the past, looking past an opponent. And I'm never going to do it again, because last time I did that I got beat by Matt Serra."

Let him get this win, against one of the top grapplers in MMA, out of the way first.

"For me it would be foolish to look past Jake Shields," he added. "I don't know what's going to happen. Maybe it's going to happen or maybe it's not going to happen -- this super-fight. I will see. . . It's too complicated to say. We'll need to wait until after Jake Shields to talk about it.

Man, I don't know about this fight.  Shields must be really good.  Hasn't lost in 15 fights in the past 5 years.   Ranked #7 in the world pound for pound.  Gonna be a great fight.  April 30, baby.  i'd like GSP to win, keep the dominance going.  he's too good to not win.

got nothin' else.
