I've been thinking about my knees throughout the knee, trying to figure otu what's going on with them. It's obviously not inflammation or tendonitis. That feeling sucks. This is just a nuisance. So I figured it's gotta be my kneecap getting pushed into my femur which has been the problem for the past 5.5 years. Figuring that I can't do any kind of exercise that involves drastically bending my knees, I looked up chondromalacia of the patella which is basically rubbing between the kneecap and femur.. sure enough, that's what is has to be. walking puts 1.8x the body weight on the knees.. I dont understand how it happened in the first place. LEg press is evidently fine as long as the knees aren't bent more than 90 degrees. .I can't imagine that's true. I was doing 540 lbs on the leg press wti hno problem before my knees hurt.. did that for like 2 months, so it wasn't the leg press. When doing deadlifts, I feel my knees Squats are obviously not the answer, way too much stress on the knee. Although I was doing 145 lbs on the smith machine. It's gotta be related to my IT band and hip flexors, but they're not that tight. Who the heck knows. I can play hockey, just gotta minimize the twisting of my back which means I really can't play hockey the way I want.. just skate I guess, that's not really fun. The last time I went 2 or 3 weeks ago, I skated and got bored within the first 2 minutes. Ah well. Definitely gonna start going to the gym when I get back from Peru, no other way to fix it.
