pretty cool.  you get to see some of the drills.. that pivoting over the hurdle would be pretty hard and he makes it look hard on the 2nd and 3rd tries.. shoulda stuck with the way he did it on the 1st.   and he gets tired after that!    then on the down-and-backs he says he's tired before the halfway mark.   heart rate of 184 at the end.  He's one of the slower ones, same with Tangradi.  It looks like he's not even skating that hard but you can tell he is 'cause his breathing is pretty labored.

"What if you can't pivot? What if you can't skate backwards?"  Well, son, you wouldn't be at this training session tryin' out for a pro team.

I know the kids that play on the traveling team here do a lot of pretty intense drills at their practices.  One kid said they have to skate backwards around pucks in the shape of a large W... with the puck on their stick.  That'd be pretty hard.

Billy G. monitoring his heart rate.. funny 'cause all those hockey fans who measure stats don't take that stuff into consideration.. I'm sure the NHL organizations look pretty deeply into how quickly players recover.

It's obviously early in the training for these folks 'cause it looks like they're outta shape.
