"I loved the ending, but only because I had long ago dispelled any
notion of getting concrete answers. In re-watching the series now, I
can't forgive the writers for bailing on the mysteries that they
created, saying that it never really mattered because it was all about
the characters.......well it sure as hell mattered for 3 seasons when
they were building it all up to get ratings."

muahaha, i was gonna send an email earlier saying the ending of Lost
sounds like it was perfect, but then i read that one.

it really is about the characters. i read some stuff abotu the ending,
theres no way anyone could figure it out and it really doesnt affect
my enjoyment of the show. but yeah, heather watched episode 1 of
season 4 last night after we finished season 3, and i could instantly
tell its gonna be mostly about the future characters tryin to get back
to the island and how their relationships change in the future. which
is a lot of suspense mixed in with the tryin to figure out the
island's mystery.

cuz honestly, the only thing now thats a mystery is the black smoke (i
would assume thats Jacob...he says "Help me" to John, and theres no
other manifestation he could take...and i dont even know who Jacob is
other than Ben's commander) and why Desmond went into the future after
the failsafe. i guess the history of the Dharma is important, but
that HAS to be tied in with Jacob because we learn everything from
Ben's history. so jacob, ben, and desmond's future....

i really have no idea what else needs to be explained. maybe how
Penny has been searching for the island. i have NO idea why the
hobbit wrote "not penny's boat" to desmond when he was drowning.
desmond is away from everyone as he's in the sea, but it doesnt affect
the plot. not like he can do anything but get out of there.

so now its three seasons of jacob, ben, the survivors, and those
rescued. at least before there were real mysteries. i heard season
4 was good, i think u said it sucked. i just dont see where the show
can go. jacob is the focal point of everything at this point, theres
nothing else.
