2) The 15 hour drive isn't bad at all down to New Orleans. We missed an exit on the way home last night 'cause I ended up running over a truck tire that was in the middle lane of a 3 lane climb up a mountain in West Virginia. Luckily, it only damaged/cut the plastic covering for the oil pan. Could have been a hell of a lot worse. Couldn't see it - West Virginia's roads have no lights in almost the whole state. And many sections have no/minimal reflectors or not-so-visible reflectors in the middle of the road and/or on the side of the road which made it really hard to see 'cause it was pouring and foggy. We lost about 100 miles, roughly 80 minutes, 'cause of that missed exit. Got home at 1210, would have been home before 11. We only saw one or two cops coming home, maybe 3 or 4 going down. The drive mainly comes down to realizing that you're stuck in the car all day so you gotta just drive and not focus on it.
3) Pittsburgh has about 55 square miles, New Orleans 350, half of which is water. I wouldn't have guessed that, New Orleans seemed really small to me. We kept taking the same roads to downtown
4) Emily and I should come down to Georgia sometime this summer. It wouldn't cost very much. 600 miles, says 10 hours but we'd do that in around 8 hours driving 75mph. $200 in gas or so. It's the same route as to New Orleans until you get to Georgia. We'll have to plan out a weekend or something. Maybe you could get a few days off of work and I'd have to talk to Emily about taking off a few days as well.
5) Emily said we should go to Orlando next year, I suggested in January or February, 'cause Spirit Airlines out of Latrobe goes to Orlando now and her grandfather has that condo. If you guys would wanna come, I'm inviting you. emily wanted to do it alone, but I'd rather have you guys along. It was a nice weekend even though we were only together for basically 24 hours. Wasn't enough time, especially compared to the 30 hours of driving. I kept telling Emily, "I'm not driving 35 hours to not spend time with my family." Sucks we had to come back here. Got not family, really no friends, just Emily and me and Jasper. Depressing.
6) Though the weather is really nice, gonna be in the 60s and 70s all week and hopefully stay there. perfect, don't need any air conditioning or heat, enjoy the fresh air.
7) Crosby's coming back on Thursday, baby. Hopefuly it's a 7 o clock game, gotta work Tuesday and Wednesday night, then Friday daylight so I'm not gonna be sleeping much on Thursday. Shero said they're gonna keep him to about 15 minutes a game between Cooke and Dupuis. I'm thinking it's to keep the top 2 lines intact 'cause of their 9 game streak.
