jesus, stamkos with 42 goals. 22 years old, what a player. or is it "what a line?" cant find any numbers on assists for his goals.  st louis has 34 assists total.

rocket richard to stammy. not even close, 30% more goals, ridiculous.

stammy and giroux with 70 pts, malkin 73.

boston starting to suck, only one player in top 5 +/- from the team now.  Del Zotto from Rangers, Lidstrom.  Franson, Ian White from Wangs.

elliot only has 29 games played, 6 shutouts, 1.5. sounds vezina worthy, but not with those GP numbers. way too low. he has about half the shots against, between 45-70% shots against comp[\ared to top 10 goalies.  lets see him do his thing during the rest of the season then we'll talk vezina.  Dungquist the only other serious contender.

dude, no way detroit is winning teh cup.  14th in PP at 17.7, 18th in PK at 81%.  they let in a goal 1once every 5 PKs..thats pathetic.  lidstrom doesnt play thsoe PKs apparently to have such a high +-/.

rangesr are 27th PP, 4th PK.  they might have a chance.  no idea what happened lastn ight, they sucked. got shutout.

Vancouver 1st in PP, 6th in PK.  they're taking the West just like last yaer.

Interesting stats.   Top teams in terms of both PP and PK are 1) Canucks 55, 2)Pens 54, 3) Preds 46 , 4)Oilers 45 , 5) Boston 43, 6)Isles 43, 7) Devils 41.   no one else even comes close. next highest is colorado 38, cryers 36, ott 35 ducks 34. (number maximum is 60, 30 for 1st, 1 for 30th)

2009 pens were 20th in PP going into the playoffs. interesting.   chicago is an atrocity this year at 16 points,.  worst team is TB with 8.  8!!!

Last year:

Vanc 58                                    1st
Mont/TB 48
Wash(2)/Ana/Det(6) 40
ott 38
Kings 37

Pitt(3)/SJ(5) 36

Bost 26 (8)

jesus, Vancouver should have won the cup, injuries and the suspension to Rome?  that series isnt even close. Problem is, they didnt have a great Goal Differential last Playoffs. finished in the negative.
. TB and Montreal had high man advantage, reason they went pretty far.

WOW, 2 years ago Toronto was worst in both, 2 points total.  hahahahahahahha

2009-2010
sj 53                                     2nd
mont/chi/cryers  48            hawks 3rd, cryers 18th (???)
buff/det 43              detroit 7th

st louis 41

surprised SJ was so high. washington was 1st overall pts. neither team stood a chance. SJ got swept in the west finals by the hawks.  did beat detroit 4-1 though. no idea how bost (36) almost took out the cryers.

2009 -

SJ 54                                              1st
ST Louis/Wild  51
Cyrers 50                                        9th
bos 46                                           2nd
Craps 43                                        4th
Kings/Buff  41
detroit 36 (best PP, horriffic PK)     3rd
Pitt 34 (7th PK)                                 8th

Means two things. Coaching and trades were extremely important that year.  PP and PK are important, but so is 5 on 5.  Looks like you gotta finish in the top 8 to win the Cup, i remember reading you gotta have one of the highest Goal Differntials, decent PK AND PP. and some luck (last year)   what happened to SJ in 2009?  they were fricken stacked in everything...

its anyone's cup this year, if you happen to be  Pens, Rangers, or Canucks.  Bos only if they find some replacements for their wingers/injuries, not looking good though. Cryers have no chance.  i dont give Devils a chance either. anyone else would be a complete srurprise. I give detroit a slight chance, but canucks should blow em away.
