Pens (1+5+2+3+1+1+1+5+1+1) 21 = 2.1
Rangers(6+2+5+2+3+5+5+3+4+3) 3.8
Blues (2+1+1+1+2+3+2+1+3+2) 1.8
Flyers (3+8+9+6+9+2+4+7+7+7) 6.2
Nashville (4+6+3+7+5+4+3+6+5+4) 4.7
canucks (7+3+4+5+4+9+8+9+2++6) 5.7
the 6th rating is the most up to date, i think, definitely the most accurate iwth pens #1, flyers #2.
So in the overall power rankings, we have Blues, Pens, Rangers, Nashville, Canucks, Flyers. (My ranking would be Pens, Rangers, Flyers, Canucks, Blues, Nashville. Nashville has the better D by far over the Blues, but somehow the Blues have managed to keep both of their goalie's GAA and Save % really low/high, respectively. I'd maybe throw the Canucks in b tween the Rangers and Flyers, doesn't rreally matter.)
Pens are never above 5th, Blues never above 3rd. Seriously, though, who would vote for the Blues to win? Seriously, here. Nobody.
"Of all the numbers that can make a case for Malkin to win the Hart Trophy, his faceoff numbers get overlooked. He's won 47 percent of draws, a career high, and taken 1,049 faceoffs after never taking more than 890 in a season." I dont know about that. 47% isn't bad, but it's no 55% of Toews.
Yeah, I was thinking about Babcock and coaches in general, wondering how they would do with an inferior squad. Obviously, with a superior squad a coach's win % would be inflated at least marginally, but the coaching is what makes the difference between championships and no playoffs. I remember watching a video of an older Hurricane who won the Cup in 2006 who said that team chemistry is the most ipmortant determining factor. I call bullcrap. Coaching is the single most important aspect, in my opinion.
Sucks you gotta work night shift. I have this weekend off, supposed to rain all weekend. high 70s/80 degrees today and tomorrow, of course i work both day. haha, ah well. Sitting in the sun when its 75o r higher, doesn't matter on the humidity, you will feel hot within 5 minutes.
