well the NHLPA agreed to it because it never happens.  a top 6 forward puttin up a point a game doesnt switch leagues like that.

interesting about CBA rule 13.23    there has to be something preventing him from playing.  also, there HAS to be a limit to the minimum amouint of games left or else a player can't play.  NO WAY he could come back the last game of the season then play the playoffs, gotta be a rule in there against that.

a contract is a contract, let him play?  what about Nabokov?  he went through waivers.  sure he didnt like it, but i dont think Radulov would care at all, cuz he'd be going to a Cup contender.  and no, nashville is not a cup contender.  they are in the top 10 offense, I was reading earlier.  PP?  PP means shit in the playoffs compaored to even strength.

they are 9th in G/G, 10th in GA/G.  problem is, Detroit, Pittsburgh, and Canucks are above them in both Rangers are a few below in G/G and a little bit above in GA/G. pretty even I'd say between nashville and Rags.

nashville has 2nd best PP at 21%.  also have a terrible PK at 82%.  as I showed before, man advantages have little effect on eventual winners.  you need to be the best in your division and have at least a 35+ GF/GA differential.

Nashville: +20 Goal Differential. they are THIRD, repeat: THIRD, in their conference. one less game and one less point than detroit, but lets be serious, detroit is injure-ridden. both detroit and st louis have much higher Goal Differentials. 48 and 45 respectively.

in the east, pittsburgh and rags and boston only teams above 35.  flyers are +27

http://tournament.fantasysports.yahoo.com/t1/group/all/standings    March Madness Pick Em competition.  lots of people picked the first 22 games right so far...we'll see how quick that winds down.

St Louis is 21st in Offense, as expected.

http://www.thehockeynews.com/articles/41527-The-Hockey-News-201112-NHL-predictions.html Wow, they predicted OTtawa to get 15th in the East. hahahaha Caps 1st. They were going strictly by last year's standings, I think.

http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20111005005536/en/EA-Sports-NHL-12-Season-Simulation-Predicts NHL 12 predicted the Penguins to get 2nd in the conference (technically, I guess that would be correct based on points.. they're predicted to get 100 points). Also, they're predicted to win the Cup, beating the blackHawks in 6 games. hahaha, Ovie predictd to get 110 points. Stamkos with 53 goals.. hm, close so far. Lundqvist to get the Vezina, now that's accurate.

Some info on Radulov:

For the most part CBA rule 13.23 is pretty clear, and Radulov's return is a violation of it. Make no mistake, without a special agreement between the NHLPA and the NHL: this would not be allowed to occur. Here's what rule 13.23 states:

In the event a professional or former professional Player plays in a league outside North America after the start of the NHL Regular Season, other than on Loan from his Club, he may thereafter play in the NHL during that Playing Season (including Playoffs) only if he has first either cleared or been obtained via Waivers.

Commenter #1 : (Something about "how's this unfair? It's fair to the WEstern Conference that he hasn't played yet 'cause he is really good. It's unfair for the Predators who signed a really good player only to have him defect back to Russia.) WAH WAH WAH, CALL THE WAHMBULANCE. What a terrible argument.

COmmenter #2 This has more to do with fulfilling Radulov's contract than having to clear waivers in order to play. I understand and agree with the NHL's ruling - if a player tries to hold out and not fulfill his contract, he should have to honor the term of the contract before he can become a free agent.

Commenter #3 I have absolutely no problem with Radulov returning at the beginning of the next season! But doing it this way puts all the power in the players hands! Just because his oligarch team got thrown out of the first round he now wants to come back and play for the preds, since he doesn't have anything better to do? NO, wrong message would be sent here! Let him to his full contract with the Predators the next season, then he becomes a RFA/UFA (don't know which would apply) and all is fair and by the rules!

the 2nd comment above kinda makes sense, but not really. I dont' see how it's fair, and it was foolish of the NHLPA to agree to it.
