read a lot about the zimmerman case - few things I'll point out. He was the only eyewitness, so his story makes up for probably 95% of the case. The girlfriend and 911 were also on the phone, but they weren't there. Zimmerman had damage to his face. Self-defense argument? Case closed.

2) At no point did he use the 'stand your ground' defense. too many people say he did. idiots.

3) in fact, you wanna see how incompetent people are? read comments on the internet. most people dont have the facts, and those that do get ridiculed. crazy. The informed citizens make logical arguments that show Zimmerman was not guilty. Who woulda guessed.

4) I'd say manslaughter or assault would be the only ones he could have been convicted on: but he used self defense. again, case closed. no one to counter.

5) people say he was a vigilante out looking to murder. Where's the proof? TOo many emotions. say his actions were immoral if not illegal. not illegal? whatcha gonna do about it? be a vigilante and kill him? can't do anything, so zip those lips.

6) The US judidical system isn't perfect, but I challenge anybody to come up with a better system. can't be done. you can't prove intent unless the person explicitly expresses that intent. so you go by the evidence. Science is 'supposedly' done with the scientific method (I highly question that in a lot of case), but at least it has a method. what's it looking for? evidenc.e. wow, my mind is blown.

7) prosecution didn't really put much effort in trying to prove anything. that's what people say, anyway. nto sure if true.

8) After listening to EMily' trial, I'd say that it's really easy, wtih only circumstantial evidence, to prove a reasonable doubt in a lot of cases. just come up with a plausible story that can't be proven or disproven, and there's your doubt.

9) only 6 jurors. kinda odd.

10) FLorida's judicial system is definitely more screwy than the average state's, I would argue.

frickin' idiots. glad i didn't pay attention during the actual trial in the news.
